Firm Principals
Christopher H. Muir
Chris Muir brings a diversified background to Muir & Company, Inc. and assists clients with strategic market planning, change management, employee engagement & team building, continuous service improvement, business plans, marketing & sales management support, and professional oversight.
Mr. Muir has over 30 years of experience in market development, strategy, planning, organizational development, change management, marketing, sales, and customer service management. His background includes serving as Vice-President of Marketing & Sales/Officer of a NASDAQ-AMEX company and as a Marketing Director of a Fortune 500 company, as well as founding four businesses of his own. Mr. Muir has worked for or consulted to both for-profit and not-for-profit companies in over 15 service industries, ranging from start-up to Fortune 100. He also taught marketing, sales, and customer service management as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing for the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida.
Mr. Muir earned his Master of Business Administration at the University of South Florida. He later graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law and is a licensed attorney in the State of Florida. Mr. Muir also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern University.
Machelle M. Muir
Machelle Muir assists our clients with financial management, business planning, forecasting & analysis, accounting & financial management information systems planning, professional oversight, internal controls, and financial due diligence.
Ms. Muir has over 35 years of experience in accounting systems and controls, financial reporting, financial modeling and analysis, budgeting, pro-forma projections, cash management, financial due diligence, brokerage/investment management, and accounting & management information systems. Her background includes serving as Treasurer-Head of Financial Control for a rapidly growing boutique real estate investment and management company from its founding, as Director of Finance & Accounting for a large commercial property management company, as Financial Analyst & Senior Accountant for a residential development company, and as Reporting & Analysis Senior Accountant for a commercial savings and loan operation. Machelle has consulted to a wide range of businesses, from start-up to national, in the real estate and healthcare industries. She has also provided financial management consulting services to numerous high-net-worth entrepreneurs.
Ms. Muir holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Hope College, and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Texas.
